Seoul Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra

Seoul Virtuosi is a conductorless orchestra comprising 15 string players led by the most eminent Korean violinist Kyung Sun Lee (Professor of Seoul National University). With tangible communicative force, Seoul Virtuosi strengthens communities by creating interactive musical dialogues among performers and audiences alike. 


Seoul Virtuosi started its official schedule from 2015 performing repertoire ranging from the Baroque period to the 20th century. In 2015, Seoul Virtuosi was invited to play at renowned concert halls such as Seoul Arts Center, Sejong Culture Center, Dejeon Arts Center, Ansan Culture Center, Gwangju Kumho Art Hall, Ilsan Hall, Pangyo Grium Hall, SNU Concert hall, while also being invited to Music Festivals such as Daejeon Chamber Music Festival, Taean International Music Festival and Park ChangSoo’s 'The House Concert'. 


In 2016, starting off with performances at PangyoGrium Hall and the New Year Music Festival in Park ChangSoo’s 'The House Concert', they continued to give regular performances at Seoul Arts Center, Ilsan hall, LG Arts Center, Daejun Arts Center, Daejon Yungsung Church, Daejeon Chamber Music festival. The orchestra is scheduled to perform at a Music Festival by KBS Radio in September and a Christmas Concert at the Seoul Arts Center IBK Chamber Hall in December.


In addition, the Virtuosi Group runs music competitions every year to foster young talented artists and is providing the winners of these competitions with master classes and performance opportunities.


Seoul Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra has been the artist-in-residence at the Dream-forest Art Center in Seoul since 2017.
